Alltruck plc welcomes Amanda Coombs to head up HR

Alltruck plc has hired an HR operations manager to support its growth objectives to 2020 and beyond.

Amanda Coombs will head up the company’s HR department, looking after staff in its headquarters in Croft, Leicestershire and its depots in Loughborough and Colwick in Notts. She will mainly be based in Croft.

Amanda was previously HR manager at BOAL Extrusion in Shepshed. She has also held senior HR roles at KS Composites, near Melton, and Lloyds Employment Law in Grantham.

Amanda said: “When I came into the office for the first time and sat in the board room with the managing director and financial director, Paul and Debbie, I knew then that this was a great company and that I really wanted to be part of the Alltruck team.

“It was evident that the ‘Company Core Values’ mean everything to everyone I met during the process of joining Alltruck.

“Lots of businesses display their company values on their website, in their staff canteens, reception areas, recruitment processes and marketing materials. It is almost an expectation these days.

“However, at Alltruck I honestly believe that the values are lived and breathed on a daily basis. It was clear that the leadership team really care and that in turn makes the employees care too. Care about how they treat each other, care about the customer experience/journey, care about charitable causes, and care greatly about succeeding.

“Whether you are a customer, or working within the teams, you are valued – how can you not be attracted to that?”

Debbie Halliday, Alltruck’s finance director, said: “We were very impressed by Amanda’s HR experience and her willingness to embrace our work culture.

“At Alltruck we are all about people. We care passionately about employing and nurturing the best talent so we can deliver the best service possible to our customers.

“Amanda will be a great addition to our team as we take the business into the next stage of its growth.”

Amanda added: “I am passionate about people and their success. To see someone achieve what they need to personally and in line with business objectives is fantastic. This is what I want to achieve at Alltruck.”
