Alltruck’s Employee of the Month for June is Lisa Mayes

Lisa Mayes has won the Employee of the Month award for June after great work resolving credit issues with a customer.

She took ownership of the problem, spending time speaking with the customer answering any queries they had, and ultimately coming up with a customer-centric solution.

Lisa not only solved the issue positively for all parties, she also created a process so that the same problem won’t happen again.

Lisa has decided to donate her £250 prize money to Wishes 4 Kids, a Leicestershire based charity that aims to grant wishes for children who are suffering from terminal illnesses or have experienced physical or mental traumas.

The charity’s aim is to provide a moment – for both the children and their parents – that allows them to briefly forget their suffering.

Children are asked to submit three wishes to the charity and the trustees of the charity will then choose which of the wishes to grant.

The charity has been granting wishes for kids in Leicester and the surrounding areas for nearly 16 years and in this time has helped over 5,000 children.

Lisa hopes her money will help to support the charity as they continue to help local Leicestershire kids, saying “I think it is a great charity, as is the work they do”.

Lisa Mayes is Alltruck’s Credit Controller, in Croft, Leicester and looks after all contract hire truck and rental accounts.

She said, “We had a great year end as well as generally maintaining the sales ledgers to keep the accounts up to date”.

Lisa is renowned within the company for going above and beyond and not being confined by her job role, but instead seeking to find the best possible outcome for both our customers and the company.

Unsurprisingly this is not the first time Lisa has been recognised for her stellar work for the company as she was awarded Best Newcomer in 2017 at the Alltruck’s award night at Leicester Tigers.
