At Alltruck we have an employee of the month scheme to recognise some of our outstanding employees who have gone over and above their normal job.
The winning employee of the month gets to choose a charity to donate £250 to a cause that is close to their heart. The employee is nominated by their colleagues and it’s always a difficult decision as we have some fantastic and very dedicated staff.
Earlier this year, Clair Garraway, our Bodyshop Administrator was chosen by her colleagues within Alltruck as an outstanding employee and given the chance to make her donation. Clair had no hesitation in choosing Ashmount School.
Ashmount School is a school for pupils between the ages of 4 and 19 with special education needs. These pupils are recognised as needing more help than that available in other schools. Ashmount School is close to Clair’s heart as she has a godchild who attends the school.
It was a pleasure to go along to Ashmount School with Clair and meet Mr Deacon, the Head Teacher. Mr Deacon took the time to show us around the school including the classroom where Clair’s godchild studies. We also got to see what our donation had provided for the children. With the money which we gifted they have purchased 2 Toonieboxes and a range of characters. The Toonieboxes tell the children a story, with each character providing a different story.
We both enjoyed the visit, and it was a real joy to see what the money had been used for.
