Are you considering a career at Alltruck? If you are then this is the blog for you. In this blog, we’ll follow Henry, a recent management trainee graduate, on his six-month journey with Alltruck. Join us as we dive into his day-to-day experiences, explore the benefits and gain insights into why Henry highly recommends joining the Awesome Alltruckers.
Henry’s journey at Alltruck began six months ago when he joined as a graduate management trainee. He was drawn to Alltruck because of the strong emphasis on training and development. From the very beginning, it was clear that Alltruck is committed to nurturing talent and helping graduates, like Henry, realise their full potential.
One advantage for Henry was the personalised development plans. These plans allow for graduates to grow and help with their success here at Alltruck. One-to-one meetings with managers provide valuable insights and actionable feedback, ensuring that Henry and his peers are continually progressing in their roles.
Henry soon discovered that Alltruck is more than just a workplace; it’s a community. The friendly and collaborative atmosphere is all about being committed to learning and growth. Colleagues, regardless of their positions, are always eager to offer advice and support when needed. Henry explains: “I’ve found that the people here are very friendly and welcoming, everyone is more than happy to give you advice, I can go to anyone in any department and everyone is willing to give you their time to help you out.”
Henry talks about his graduate management trainee program where he is able to do a 6-month rotation, 6 months at the rental department and 6 months at the fleet department. Henry’s day-to-day activities include: talking with a variety of people including account managers, the sales team and the fleet department, talking to customers and ensuring that vehicles are checked at the rental department and much more.
Henry believes that Alltruck is great at fostering a well-rounded work-life balance which is evident in the fantastic benefits it offers its employees.
First on the list is “Lunch on Us.” Alltruck provides free lunches to all employees once a month as a thank-you.
Social days at Alltruck are another highlight for Henry. These events are more than just a break from work; they’re opportunities to connect with colleagues on a personal level. Whether it’s team-building exercises or outdoor activities. There’s always something fun happening at Alltruck.
One of the most exciting aspects of working at Alltruck for Henry has been the opportunity to get involved in impactful projects. One such project is the sustainability initiative, which revolves around the “Alltruck Zero” brand. This project is all about helping customers decarbonise their fleets, contributing to a greener and more sustainable future. Henry and his colleagues feel a deep sense of pride in being part of such a meaningful project.
As we wrap up Henry’s Day in the life of a graduate at Alltruck, he has some advice for those considering a career here:
“Just be yourself. Alltruck values diversity and individuality. They’re interested in who you are as a person and how your unique qualities can contribute to the company’s success. It’s an environment where you can truly thrive.”
