This month Alltruck has welcomed a number of new starters filling key roles within the business. As a new starter at Alltruck, you are given an extensive three-week induction with the Alltruck Academy which allows new members of staff to talk to every employee within all departments and sites across the business. It’s a great opportunity to fully get to know how the business works as well as starting to build relationships with new colleagues.
As part of the induction, we met up with some of our new starters to try and learn more about them. We wanted to find out why they chose to work for Alltruck as well as a bit about their skills and background.
Andrew is Alltruck’s new Workshop Manager, based at our Loughborough depot. This is a new role within the business as our workshop function grows. We asked him a few questions to find out more about his background.
“Prior to Alltruck I worked at Ryder as Workshop Supervisor. I had worked with the company for 8 years and started my career there as an apprentice.”
“I think the thing that stood out to me most about Alltruck is the personal touch you give to all of your customers. You really build partnerships with your customers and do your best to help them at every touch point. I was also really drawn to the company culture and attitude of the employees. Everyone is really willing to help and everyone works as one team, this has been really helpful for me during my first few weeks in the business and has helped me to settle into my role quickly. Alltruck really lives by its values. ”
“I am a big rugby fan and I also love to play. I used to play for the Cardiff Blues youth section when I was younger.”
Laura is our new Business Development Manager working within the sales team.
“My role is to go out and speak to prospects and customers to tell them about our products and to then gain new customers. I will also manage our customer accounts, checking in with them regularly to see how we are helping their business.”
“I have previously worked for Ryder and Hill Hire. My background is within the commercial vehicle industry so I have lots of experience in this area.”
“It was the values of the company and the people. Alltruck is so committed to their values and it really shows in everything they do. The people are amazing here too, everyone is really warm and approachable which makes for a great culture and atmosphere.”
Nick has joined Alltruck as Senior Fleet Controller in our Croft office, his job is to manage the fleet team to ensure all of our customers’ trucks stay on the road as much as possible.
“I have always worked in the commercial vehicle industry and have worked in many roles in many different businesses. Previously I have worked for Burnt Tree, Northgate and Enterprise.”
“The can-do attitude of the employees. Alltruck really empowers its employees to take the course of action they feel is best without any fear. Employees are trusted and there is a lot of freedom to make the role your own.”
“I can legally drive a tank on the road!”
