How long have you been working in the Transport Industry for?

I’ve been working in the in industry for 25 years.

What did you do prior to joining Alltruck plc?

Before Alltruck, I started in an apprenticeship and then I started working for a small coach company. From there, I moved on to working for a big truck hire company, before going into a dealership and then eventually joining Alltruck in 2002.

What are your thoughts on the industry?

My thoughts on the industry… Well, it’s the backbone of all industries. In one way or another, all industries rely on transport. Whether it’s to bring in parts or transport goods. All industries rely on transport.

What’s one thing about the industry you wish people who aren’t in it knew about?

It never stops. This is an industry that is running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In all other industries, transport is needed with it. That’s what people need to realise.

What do you think you are the biggest challenges that the industry faces today?

At the moment, environmental. Certainly with emissions and trying to keep up with the green zones inside cities. I just don’t think the technology is moving as quick as the times.

What makes you proud to be in the industry?

Just to part of the industry. It’s such a fast-paced, advancing industry – I’m constantly learning. And, the vital importance that we do.
