When National Refrigerants, one of Europe’s largest independent refrigerant suppliers, approached Alltruck plc, their concerns were clear. Persistent delays in receiving PMI paperwork (sometimes up to two weeks) were raising questions about compliance. Meanwhile, servicing was becoming a logistical burden, with vehicles needing to travel 30 miles to Sutton Coldfield and limited booking availability adding further disruption.

We began our partnership by designing a fleet support package that addressed both compliance and operational pain points. Gary Morton, Account Manager at Alltruck plc, explained:
“We gave them access to our digital compliance portal, so all PMI paperwork and documentation is now available within 24 hours. We have also scheduled their servicing intervals at their preferred time at their local depot, just 10 minutes away from their yard. To ensure the relationship continues to evolve and deliver value, quarterly performance meetings will be used to review and forward plan.”
As for the trucks themselves, we introduced a brand-new fleet of high specification DAF’s that are fully ADR compliant for the transport of hazardous goods, and DVS2 4-star rated to meet Transport for London safety standards. Finished in a bold new livery and equipped with safety technology including cameras, live tracking, and telematics, these 18 and 26-tonne curtainsiders are built to perform.

But beyond vehicles and servicing, our goal was to support the people behind the wheel.
Recognising the importance of driver readiness, we coordinated in-depth vehicle familiarisation training with local DAF Dealer Ford & Slater. Delivered by DAF Driver Trainer Michelle Bolton King as part of the DAF Academy, this session took place during the vehicle handover on-site at National Refrigerants’ premises. Her practical, real-world guidance ensured drivers felt confident and capable from day one.
Michelle Bolton King, DAF Driver Trainer, commented:
“With the latest advances in technology, it’s now more important than ever for drivers to be familiar with the truck they’re operating. Our goal is to ensure every driver gets the most out of their new DAF, maximising fuel economy, building confidence and feeling fully supported throughout their aftersales journey.”

This hands-on approach to training turned a standard fleet delivery into a well-supported launch; one built around long-term success, trust, and partnership.
We are proud to collaborate with National Refrigerants and remain committed to helping their business move efficiently, safely and with confidence.
