Alltruck plc, leaders in Truck Rental, Contract Hire, and Distribution Services, recently hosted its Annual Awards Night at the stunning Winstanley House in Leicester. The evening celebrated a year of hard work and achievements, filled with recognition, laughter, and connection. Awesome Alltruckers from all locations, along with valued customers and suppliers, came together to reinforce the relationships at the heart of Alltruck.
The evening opened with Managing Director, Josh Robinson, highlighting a significant milestone for the business – 25 years since the management buyout (MBO) of Alltruck, which took place exactly 25 years to the day, on 13th March 2000. Reflecting on the impact of the buyout, Josh noted, “The MBO wasn’t just about taking control of the business, it was about setting a new direction for Alltruck’s future.”
The buyout gave the leadership team the freedom to shape the business on their own terms, reinforcing a culture built on long-term relationships, operational excellence, and a deep commitment to customer success.
Josh explained, “The average marriage lasts 12.9 years, so the fact we’ve got customers lasting 25 years says everything about the strength of our relationships.”
That same commitment extends into the wider community, with our long-standing partnership with Leicestershire Cares being a perfect example. Whether through volunteering, charity campaigns, or local initiatives, Alltruck’s work with Leicestershire Cares is about more than just corporate responsibility—it’s about making a real difference. As Josh put it, “We’re still incredibly proud of our association with Leicestershire Cares, and we look forward to continuing this partnership.”
With strong partnerships driving success, it was then time for Keith Pound, newly promoted Operations Director, to take the stage. Keith highlighted Alltruck’s Distribution Services, a fully managed transport solution for businesses which provides:
With a fleet of brilliantly-maintained vehicles and a FORS-accredited operation, Alltruck ensures businesses can grow confidently while removing the headaches of transport management. Partnerships with companies like Donalson Timber Engineering, Harmony Timber Solutions and, Camira Fabrics reflect the growing demand for Alltruck’s Distribution Services.
We were treated to a laid-back Q&A session, hosted by Mark Vigil from Big Sound Marketing, where we got to hear from three Awesome Alltruckers: Rohit Purwaha, Graduate Management Trainee; Richard Oliver, General Manager – Loughborough; and Alison Strange, Graduate Management Trainee. The Q&A covered everything from their career journeys so far, to what inspired them to join Alltruck, and even their favourite emojis; providing an insightful behind-the-scenes look at the people who make Alltruck, Alltruck!
As the night continued, guests were treated to tasty food and captivating entertainment, including saxophone player Dave , silhouette portraits by Sassy Steve, and mind reader/magician Will. Photographer Ian Dearman, of Scruffy Whippet Media, and the Hybrid AV team provided sound and visuals throughout the night, too.
