From six vans to a nationwide fleet of 57 HGVs and 34 vans, Easy Bathrooms has grown from a small family-run business into the UK’s largest bathroom retailer, and Alltruck plc has been a key partner throughout that journey.
Operating from their Wakefield head office, Easy Bathrooms now delivers to every corner of the UK, from Brighton to Glasgow. As their transport needs evolved, so did their relationship with Alltruck, which began six years ago under the previous transport manager and continues today with Maizy Griffiths, who recently stepped into the role.
“We’ve grown massively and are just growing into the biggest bathroom retailer in the country,” Maizy explains. “Alltruck has been with us all through our HGV journey.”
A Fleet That Fits, Thanks to Collaborative Planning
With heavier pallet deliveries and tighter urban delivery zones, Easy Bathrooms needed vehicles that could do more without compromising manoeuvrability. Working closely with Alltruck’s team, including Tim and Gary, they transitioned from 7.2-tonne vehicles to 12-tonne DAFs, trialling hires before committing.
“It’s more or less the same size, but we’re just getting a bit more volume on them,” says Maizy. “They’ve been perfect; it’s proven that it’s the right vehicle for the job.”
The team also adapted to new technology, including camera wing mirrors to meet London’s Direct Vision Standard (DVS) regulations. With Alltruck’s support, compliance issues were quickly resolved, and drivers adjusted to the new features with ease.

“If a vehicle breaks down, I’m praying it’s an Alltruck one,” she laughs. “We know it’ll be resolved fast, and they’ll be back on the road in an hour or two.”

“It’s just a nice relationship. It works. If there’s any problems, we sort it out together, no drama.”

For Maizy, who previously worked in logistics, the contrast is clear. In a retail company where transport isn’t the core focus, external expertise is vital, and Alltruck delivers it with a tone that’s professional but never too corporate.
“You’re not just talking business, you’re having a nice, general, bountiful conversation,” she says. “They strike that balance between being personable and professional, which is hard to find.”
Looking Ahead
With fleet contracts reaching renewal and new vehicles entering service, Easy Bathrooms is preparing for the next phase of growth. Maizy’s team is proud of the site they’ve built and the fleet they operate.
“It’s a very overwhelming operation here; there’s a lot going on, but it’s good,” she says. “And Alltruck helps make it easier.”
